Creative Director to Expand Innovative Professional Programs
RALEIGH, NC—August 29, 2017—Hugh Firebaugh, creative director at Able&Co., has been appointed second vice president and programming chair of Triangle AdFed. The trade association, locally known for its annual American Advertising Awards (Addy), scholarships, and diversity mentoring, is part of the national American Advertising Federation.
In his role, Hugh plans to apply his brand strategy to create monthly events that benefit creative agencies on many fronts — from industry breakfast panels and larger marquee events to workshops exploring the ethics of working “on spec.”
Able&Co. serves, among many industries, clients in the area’s rapidly growing real estate and medical device markets. Tapping that experience, Hugh will “look at the big picture” to balance business development programs with outreach — such as hosting free marketing and advertising workshops for nonprofits and charities in November.
It’s all part of Triangle AdFed’s effort to attract more advertising business to the region.
Triangle AdFed’s essential esprit de corps believes advertising professionals can achieve more by helping one another succeed. “This means tackling issues that our profession faces,” Hugh says, “so every one of us can do our best work and gain new clients.” The program calendar will be rolled out at Triangle AdFed’s kickoff event in September.
