Capital Area Workforce Development Refocusing Through Strategic Rebranding

Capital Area Workforce Development (part of NCWorks) is a public-private partnership that focuses on economic development by ensuring the workforces in Wake and Johnston counties have the skills, training and education to meet the needs of local employees.

Able&Co. was asked to refocus CAWD’s brand identity and create a user-friendly website.

We developed a strategic plan to elevate the CAWD brand. The new CAWD logo is modern and fresh. As an ambigram, the logo reads from both directions and visually represents the public-private partnership. The new brand identity was applied to CAWD’s overhauled website, which was now easy to navigate. Inside CAWD’s office, the branding was extended to a career training poster campaign for job seekers. Each poster focused on a different vertical and roles within these spaces.
